My husband, Corey, and I bought our first city house four years ago. Our house, originally built in the late nineteenth century, had been renovated by others. As designers we always wanted to design and build our own home. We love our city and we love our neighborhood, so we knew we didn’t want to move far. A few months ago we started looking for an empty lot and after searching for some time, we purchased a lot one block away from our house. We started designing a new home, sold our current home and moved into an apartment two blocks away. We will be breaking ground this fall!
